How to play Scorpion Solitaire

Objective

Build four complete King-to-Ace same-suit sequences in the tableau.

Setup

• 49 cards are dealt into seven columns; the first four columns have three face-down cards each.
• Three cards are held in reserve.

Rules

1. Any face-up card may be moved along with every card on top of it — even if they're out of sequence.
2. The destination must be a card of the same suit and exactly one rank higher.
3. Only Kings may move to an empty column.
4. Deal the three reserve cards to the first three columns when stuck.

Strategy tips

• Freeing buried Aces early is the key to the whole deal.
• Don't spend the reserve until you've exhausted the tableau.
• Because stacks move whole, seemingly bad piles can be untangled later.
