How to play Pyramid Solitaire
Objective
Remove all 28 cards from the pyramid by pairing them to a total of 13.
Setup
- 28 cards form a seven-row pyramid, each card partly covered by two cards below it.
- The remaining 24 cards form the stock and waste.
Rules
- Aces = 1, Jacks = 11, Queens = 12, Kings = 13.
- Any two exposed cards summing to 13 are removed together.
- A King is worth 13 on its own and is removed by itself.
- A pyramid card is only exposed when both cards covering it are gone.
- Waste and stock cards may pair with pyramid cards.
Strategy tips
- Prioritise pairs that unlock two pyramid cards at once.
- Track where the Kings are — they're free removals.
- Don't burn the stock quickly; each pass is limited.
