How to play Addiction Solitaire

Objective

Arrange each of the four rows into a single suit running 2 through King.

Setup

  • All 52 cards are dealt into four rows of thirteen.
  • The four Aces are removed, leaving four gaps.

Rules

  1. A gap may be filled by the card one rank higher than the card immediately to its left, in the same suit.
  2. A gap at the start of a row may be filled by any 2.
  3. A gap to the right of a King is dead and cannot be filled.
  4. When no moves remain you may reshuffle — up to three times per deal.

Strategy tips

  • Fill left-hand gaps first; they cascade.
  • Avoid creating a gap after a King — it's wasted.
  • Before reshuffling, double-check every gap; missed moves are common.
