How to play Clock Solitaire
Objective
Turn all 52 cards face up before the fourth King reaches the centre pile.
Setup
- Thirteen piles of four cards are laid out — twelve around a clock face plus one in the centre.
- Every card starts face down.
Rules
- Turn the top card of the centre pile.
- Place it face up beneath the pile matching its rank (Ace = 1 o'clock, Queen = 12, King = centre).
- Take the next face-down card from the pile you just fed and repeat.
- The game ends when a King is turned and no face-down cards remain in the centre pile.
Strategy tips
- There are no decisions — this is a pure game of chance, roughly a 1-in-8 win rate.
- It's a fast, satisfying break between harder games.
