How to play Crescent Solitaire
Objective
Fill all eight foundations — four building up from Ace and four building down from King.
Setup
- Two decks (104 cards) are used.
- Eight foundations start with an Ace and a King of each suit.
- The remaining 88 cards go into 16 crescent piles of five or six cards.
Rules
- Only the top card of each crescent pile is available.
- Tableau moves are same-suit, one rank up or down.
- Foundations build up by suit from the Ace and down by suit from the King.
- You get three reshuffles — each rotates the bottom card of every pile to the top.
Strategy tips
- Save your reshuffles until you're genuinely stuck.
- Watch for cards you'll need on both an ascending and a descending foundation.
- Move cards between crescent piles freely to dig deeper.
