How to play Switch
Objective
Be the first player to empty your hand.
Setup
- Two to four players; seven cards each.
- One card is turned up to start the discard pile.
Rules
- Play a card matching the rank or suit of the top card.
- A 2 forces the next player to pick up two — unless they play a 2 as well, stacking the penalty.
- An Ace is wild and changes the suit.
- A Jack skips the next player; an 8 reverses the direction of play.
- If you can't play, draw one card and your turn ends.
Strategy tips
- Hold a 2 to defend against an incoming pick-up chain.
- Save an Ace for when you're down to one awkward suit.
- In two-player games a Jack effectively gives you another turn.
