How to play Minesweeper

Objective

Reveal every cell that doesn't contain a mine.

Setup

• Choose Beginner (9×9, 10 mines), Intermediate (16×16, 40) or Expert (30×16, 99).
• The first click is always safe.

Rules

1. A revealed number tells you how many mines touch that cell.
2. Right-click (or long-press) to flag a suspected mine.
3. Revealing an empty cell cascades outward automatically.
4. Revealing a mine ends the game.

Strategy tips

• Learn the 1-2-1 and 1-2-2-1 wall patterns — they solve most edges instantly.
• Flag confidently; the count helps you deduce the rest.
• When stuck, look for a cell whose number already touches all its mines.
